In Flåm, we find not even the local tourist office promises too much and we quote freely from;
"Flåm is situated in the innermost part of the Aurlandsfjord, an arm of the 204 kilometres long and up to 1308 metres deep Sognefjord. Surrounded by steep mountainsides, roaring waterfalls and deep valleys, Flåm offers an abundance of nature-based activities, attractions, exciting culture and historic traditions. And in the middle of this, we organize some 15 killometres of serious time trialling - definetly the most spectacular, technical and beautiful time trial we have used. With only one stage to go for the overall placings, the narrow valley is likely to see its fastest cycling ever...
And when you are already half-way up, you can choose between catching the train up to Myrdal and/or down to Flåm again. We start the TT so early that everyone will have the full day to explore surrounding fjords, valleys and mountain
